WESCON, formerly an initialism for Western Electronics Show and Convention was a trade show and conference in the western United States for the electronics industry. It was held annually since 1951 and was a platform for companies to showcase their products and for attendees to learn about the latest developments in the field.[1]. On September 16th, the famous 8-bit CPU 6502 is presented[5].

The 24th annual Western Electronic Show and Convention was held from September 16 to 19, in Brooks Hall and Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA.[4].
On the September 16th, 8-bit CPUs 6501 and 6502 are presented[5].
1976[edit]
In the year 1976 the Wescon celebrate its 25th (silver) anniversary[6]. About 35.000 visitors flock to the Los Angeles Convention Center from the September 14 to the 17. Over 400 companies were present.

In the 1978 the wescon was held from the September 12 to the September 14[7] Theme of this year is "Micro/Evolution".
