Whitman, Washington

Whitman is an unincorporated community in Walla Walla County, in the U.S. state of Washington.[1]
History
A post office called Whitman was established in 1870, and remained in operation until 1875.[2] The community was named after Marcus Whitman, a missionary who was killed by Native Americans.[3]
