Wicke Wheels and Castors is a German manufacturer and provider of wheels, castors, and transportation solutions. History[edit]

In 1866, Ferdinand Wicke founded a small goods store in Barmen, which is now a district of Wuppertal. Later, he shifted the focus of the business to the production of caps for toy guns, known as "cab gun," and igniters for mining lamps, under the name Ferdinand Wicke Zündwarenfabrik[1]. In 1919, Wicke was sold to Otto von Ragué. After World War II, the family business changed its focus and initially engaged in contract manufacturing of lightweight metal rims for the Wuppertal-based company Vorwerk, before transitioning to the production of wheels and castors. Over the years, Wicke expanded its activities and opened branches[2] in various countries. In 1994, Wicke Castors Ltd. was founded in China, followed by the establishment of Wicke CZ in the Czech Republic in 1995. These international expansions allowed Wicke to become a leading international supply chain partner for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers and exclusive distributors. Wicke's revenue grew steadily over the years, reaching approximately 159 million euros[3] in 2021, up from 90 million euros in 2010.
