Wilbur Lim (born 19 June 1987) is a Singapore lawyer.
Professional Career[edit]
Lim is the Managing Director of WMH Law Corporation. He is one of the youngest lawyers in Singapore to have started his own law firm.[1][2] In 2016, he founded WMH Law Corporation with two other founding partners, Mr. Mark Lee and Ms. Hazell Ng.[3] His main practice area includes construction litigation and arbitration.[1] Lim has also represented clients in high profile defamation cases. [4]
Lim had acted in a pro bono capacity for a wide range of criminal law related matters, including charges relating to causing of grievous hurt[5] and criminal breach of trust.[6]
Lim is quoted regularly for his views on Singapore laws and regulations in major international press.[7][8]
Awards and Honours[edit]
Lim is the youngest lawyer in Singapore to be selected by the Asian Legal Business for its "40 under 40" list, which showcases 40 lawyers in Asia known for their work and accolades from clients.[1]
He was also a finalist for the ALB's South East Asia Young Lawyer of the Year Award.[3]
Lim was awarded the top Criminal Legal Aid Scheme Volunteer in 2018 for his pro bono work.[9]
In terms of education, Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Singapore Management University with Summa Cum Laude.[10]
Teaching and Appointments[edit]
Lim taught Construction Law as an adjunct faculty in the Singapore Management University.[11]
He is also a standing member of the Singapore Law Reform's Building and Construction Law Subcommittee[11] and writes on the subject.[12]
