Wild's End is a 2014 science fiction comic book series by Dan Abbet and I.N.J. Culbard.[1]. The series involves anthropomorphic animals in 1930s England fighting against lamppost and lightbulb-like aliens who attack with burning beams of light. It is described as a mashup of The Wind in the Willows and War of the Worlds. [2]
The first iteration of the series was a trilogy made up of three subseries: First Light, The Enemy Within[3], and Journey's End. While First Light and The Enemy Within were six-issue series, Journey's End was released as a six-chapter graphic novel[4][5]. A continuation of the series staring a new cast of characters was announced March 2023.[6]

Reception
Wild's End has received generally positive reviews.
Luke Williams of downthetubes praised the series' characters, tension, and usage of extra material between chapters (such as diary entries and letters written by characters) to further flesh out the story.[20]
In a review for the first 2023 issue, Jamie Lovett of Comicbook praised the story for its "confident" and "contemplative" storytelling that balances its pleasant pastoral setting with grisly moments.[21]

When BOOM! Studios asked for a third volume, and offered us to do it in the 'long form' of a graphic novel, we jumped at the chance, and we've been working on it with huge pleasure for the past little while.
