Wilhelm Heinrich Stich (1794 in Berlin – 3 October 1824) was a German stage actor
Life[edit]
August Wilhelm Iffland, to whom he confided in order to hear his judgement of his talent, trained him himself for the stage, which he represented at the Berlin Court Theatre in 1797. He worked there until his death and distinguished himself as a "bon vivant". Stich belonged to the most accomplished actors of the royal institute. His marriage to Auguste Crelinger was to prove fatal for him. He believed himself betrayed by his wife with Count Blücher, and there was an agitated exchange of words that degenerated into assault. The artist was badly wounded and died shortly afterwards.
From this marriage came two daughters who also became actresses: Clara and Bertha Stich.
