Will Williams (Meditation Teacher)[edit]

Will Williams (born on September 8th, 1979) is a British meditation teacher.[1], author[2], wellbeing advisor[3] and the founder of meditation company Beeja.

Biography[edit]

Facing increasing difficulty managing his demanding music career and suffering with chronic insomnia, Will Williams was recommended Vedic meditation (an unbranded version of Transcendental Meditation) by a friend in 2009[4]. He later founded Will Williams Meditation in London[5], the meditation company which was to become Beeja in March 2019[6]

Other Work[edit]

In 2013, Will Williams became the European Coordinator for meditation-based charity 1 Giant Mind.[7] Williams also joined the OECD Working Group on Education as a wellbeing advisor in October 2017[3].

Published Work[edit]

The Effortless Mind

Williams’ first book, The Effortless Mind, was published by Simon and Schuster UK on May 3rd 2018. In The Effortless Mind, Williams explores “inspiring stories” and the “scientific research into meditation”.[8]

Philosophy[edit]

Williams is a proponent of using meditation to help tackle the rising rates of mental health issues in society,[9] believing that mantras interact with our brain and wider nervous system to enhance "rest, repair and recovery".
