William Bertram Ramsay (Known as Will Ramsay) is the Founder and CEO of the Affordable Art Fair.  He is Founder of PULSE art fair, co-founder of the Hong Kong art fair Art HK (now Art Basel in Hong Kong), Art Central art fair in Hong Kong, and was co-owner of India Art Fair.

Born in 1969 in the UK, Will attended Eton College, Newcastle University and served in the British Army with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards for five years, attaining the rank of Captain, before leaving to set up his own London gallery, Will’s Art Warehouse, in 1996. 

That was quickly followed by the first edition of the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park, London, England in 1999.  The Affordable Art Fair was organised as an alternative to the traditional gallery scene. With its price ceiling of £5,000/€6,000/$10,000, the fair aims to make art accessible for all.

Affordable Art Fairs now take place in London (Battersea and Hampstead), Bristol, Milan, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Brussels, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.  Over 450,000 artworks have been bought by over 2million visitors at over 200 fairs since 1999.  Affordable Art Fair has been selected as one of the UK's CoolBrands.

He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization

The Affordable Art Fairs partner with charities using art therapy.

Family[edit]

Will is the Grandson of Lord Charles MacAndrew, and of Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsay who commanded the Dunkirk evacuation and planning and commanding the naval forces for the invasion of France in 1944, known as D-Day.

He lives in the Scottish Borders with his wife and four daughters.[1]

Sporting Endeavours[edit]

Will plays polo with the Border Reivers Polo Club and rides as an amateur jockey in point-to-points.  In 2018, he rode in the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival Foxhunter’s race.

Political Involvement[edit]

Will is the Vice Chairman of Scotland in Union (SIU), a non-party, not for profit campaign group that unites in the belief that Scotland should remain part of the UK by raising awareness of the potential pitfalls of separating, as well as carrying out independent research.
