William 'Bill' Valdez is an American civil servant and government official who is the nominee to serve as the Under Secretary of Homeland Security for Management.[1]
Career
Valdez has served as a career official within the Senior Executive Service at the Department of Energy.[2] He has also served as the president of the Senior Executives Association. Valdez subsequently co-founded and now serves as the president of the Alliance of Latinx Leadership & Policy.
Nomination as DHS Undersecretary
On July 27, 2021, the White House announced that President Biden would be nominating Valdez to serve as the Under Secretary of Homeland Security for Management.[1] The nomination is currently pending Senate confirmation.[3]
