Wilmer Ederö

Wilmer Ederö is a swedish amateur golfer from Linköping. He was born in 2004 and started competing in 2015.[1]. Introduced to golf by his father at an early age he quickly found love for the sport, with the long term goal of becoming the best player in the world[2]. He played his first international tournament in 2018, the Stenson Sunesson Junior Challenge. It is hosted by Henrik Stenson and his long time caddie Fanny Sunesson at the Barsebäck Masters Course. Ederö finished in fourth place[3]. In May 2019 Ederö made a name for himself internationally, finishing t-5th in the Fairhaven Trophy[4]. In August the same year he reached the final in the Boys Amateur Championship. He was defeated in the final by Tom Gueant after a 37 hole long battle at Saunton[5]. Ederö is currently ranked 302 by the World Amateur Golf Rankings putting him in the top-10 amongst male swedish amateur golfers[6]
