WinZO Games (also known as WinZO, WinZO Gold) is a vernacular mobile gaming platform in India. It is available in 12 regional languages of India.[1] WinZO Games is operated by TicTok Skill Games Pvt. Ltd. WinZO in December, 2020, has unveiled its new brand awareness campaign that highlights and celebrates the small yet gratifying winning moments of Bharat. The campaign with Tagline & Hashtag – "Jeetne mein Kick hai"

History[edit]

WinZO was co-founded by Paavan Nanda, an IIM Calcutta alumnus who also co-founded ZO Rooms & Zostel, and Saumya Singh Rathore who was earlier with The Times Group.[2]

In July 2019, WinZO Games announced that it has raised $5 Million in Series A funding led by Kalaari Capital and Hike.[3] WinZO in September 2020 raised $18 million in a Series B funding round led by Makers Fund and Courtside Ventures. The company has raised over US$23 million in funding to date.WinZO has grown 10 times in the last 12 months

WinZO currently has 30 million user base across India.[4] WinZO has grown ten folds in 2020. WinZO has also set-up a fund of $5 Million to support Game Developers in India.[5] [6]

WinZO announced the launch of Game Developers Console in January 2020 where Gaming Studios and Independent Game Developers across the globe can launch their games on the platform.[7]

In March 2020, WinZO announced a strategic partnership with Tencent Games India to host PUBG Mobile e-Sports in local languages in India.[8]

In September, 2020, WinZO launched its Fantasy sports platform that allows users to play fantasy cricket, football and kabaddi.

WinZO in November 2020 partnered with Nextwave Multimedia to host their widely popular cricket game WCC (World Cricket Championship) on WinZO.
