Windmill Factory is a collective of artists based in New York City. The team creates mixed media installations, immersive performances, music videos, stage designs, and experiential events.[1]  Jon Morris and Ana Constantino founded the Windmill Factory in 2009.[2] Over its 10-year tenure, the Windmill Factory has worked for various clients including Lady Gaga,[3] Absolut Vodka,[4] Red Bull,[5] Panorama Festival,[6] Andrew McMahon,[7][8][9] Nine Inch Nails,[10] Festival Electric Pear Productions,[11] La MaMa Theater,[12] Collapsing Scenery,[13] Firehorse, Burning Man, MIT Media Lab,[1] Phantogram,[14] and Prototype Festival,[15] just to name a few.

To fulfill each project, the Windmill Factory enlists the help of specialized collaborators, including software engineers, architects, and industrial designers.[16]

History

Windmill Factory first came to prominence with Reflecting the Stars, an art installation that recreates constellations on the surface of the Hudson River; the project was created in association with Climate Week NYC in 2011 to start a discussion on how to do more to save the planet.[17][18][19][20]
