Windows Latest was created in 2015 as a news blog for Microsoft Windows operating system and it's known for its coverage on Windows 11.

In June 2021, Windows Weekly podcast of TWiT.tv discussed the news stories reported by Windows Latest..[1].

The website received more than 1.7 million visitors per month as of March 2022[2]. As of April 2022, it has an Alexa traffic rank of 26,231 worldwide and 33,873 in the United States[3]

The articles published at Windows Latest are news articles, tutorials and editorials. The site reports on news released by Microsoft and other companies, but also performs investigative reporting to cover the broader Microsoft industry, including Surface and Xbox.

Windows Latest has broken several stories, including the first public appearance of Windows 11 onto the internet.

The existence of long rumored Windows Sun Valley Update (later known as Windows 11) was first confirmed by Windows Latest[4]. The site's reporting was later cited by major media that cover technology, including CNN[5], WHDH[6], The Verge[7], TechRadar[8], Ars Technica[9], PCWorld[10], and more.

The site also confirmed the existence of Windows 11 ahead of its release by spotting a document accidentally published by Microsoft in June 2021[11][12]
