Windsor Circus School is a circus school in Windsor, Ontario. It was founded in 2017 by Joe Jelasic and Tia Nicoletti.
History[edit]
In 2017 the school was founded and began holding classes in the historic Chelsea building in downtown Windsor, Ontario. In the first year, the school staged its first student production, Dark Circus, a show that played to a sold-out house in the Chelsea building. Student productions are produced under the name "Windsor Circus School Showcases". The next year, owners Joe Jelasic and Tia Nicoletti opened up an entertainment company under the name Height Entertainment that offers graduated students the opportunity to perform at events in Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario. [1]
Major programs[edit]
The school currently offers classes and private instruction in numerous circus skills, including Chinese acrobatics, contortion, Chinese pole, juggling, aerial hoop, static trapeze, aerial silk and aerial straps. It also offers the unique 1-year P.R.I.M.E. program, which caters to young pre-professional athletes and circus performers, and various workshops. [2]
