Wiseband is an online music service for artists and music labels. The service was created in 2013 in France.
It is a CMS platform that offers Direct to Fans (D2F) & DIY services.[1][2][3].
The company allows the distribution of digitized audio content on major download and streaming platforms, accessible to both self-produced artists and labels [4].
In addition, it offers merchandising services to create custom products and allows its users to create an online store. The company also offers options to promote music on social networks : Youtube, Spotify, Deezer, ect [5][6].
Among its customers we can find Manu Chao, Trinix, Julie Zenatti, Metronomy, Babylon Circus, Zenzile, Festival des Vieilles Charrues or Because Music & more than 3,000 artists use the platform [7].
In 2020, the company recorded a turnover of 1.6 million euros and has 15 employees [8].
History[edit]
The online service was previously known as Yozik and published by SARL YO, a company located in Sainte Florence, France and founded by Henri Pierre Mousset, also founder of the Yotanka label.
Wiseband was presented as one of the most innovative French startups in the music industry at the Austin SXSW 2014.
In October 2021, Wiseband will participate in the largest gathering of the music industry in France: the MaMa Festival [9].
In February 2022, it is part of the "Champions of Growth 2022" ranking written by les Échos and Statista. With a growth rate of 217.08% between 2017 and 2020, it was ranked 125th among the 500 French growth champions [10].
In March 2022, it was selected by Business France along with a dozen other startup to represent French excellence in the digital field at the world's largest music trade show: South by Southwest : (SXSW) [11]
