The Women's FIH Nations Cup is an international women's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Hockey Series. The competition, also serves as a qualifier for the Pro League.[1]
The first edition is scheduled to start in 2021. Eight teams will compete being the champion promoted to the following edition of the Pro League.
Format[edit]
Eight teams will compete in a single venue. The competing teams will be invited based on the FIH World Rankings at the end of the previous year’s FIH Hockey Pro League. From 2022, the FIH Nations Cup champion will be promoted to the following year’s FIH Pro League to replace the bottom team who will be relegated.
