Women Fetching Water from the Nile is an 1897 short silent film, that was directed by Robert W. Paul. It shows women actively bringing water taken from the Nile on their heads. It is also notable for the composition, with the camera that was placed to show the way the women approach the camera. According to BFI Screenonline,[1] "In 1897 Robert W. Paul, traveled to Egypt to make ten other films including Women Fetching Water from the Nile and only a few of his film has survived.
