The Won Institute of Graduate Studies is the only regionally accredited graduate school for Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Won Buddhist Studies in Pennsylvania, located in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
The Won Institute offers professional doctorate, master's, and certificate programs in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Won Buddhist Studies. The institute maintains on-site acupuncture clinics: professional, student, community, veteran's and a Chinese herbal medicine clinic. In 2017, the Institute launched their Go to Them: Meeting The Health Care Needs of Veterans project in efforts to provide Veterans and military officials who suffer from trauma, PTSD and stress, with ear acupuncture or NADA.
All of the graduate programs include non-denominational sitting and moving meditation. This intensive focus on meditation helps create compassionate, competent meditation teachers, and gives acupuncturists a profound tool for treating patients.
The Won Institute prides itself on its diverse faculty, many of whom are also professional practitioners, business owners, and meditation practitioners. Combined with small class sizes, this truly makes the Won Institute a one-of-a-kind learning environment.
The school is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
