World Amateur Body Building Association
The World Amateur Body Building Association (WABBA) is an International bodybuilding organization founded in 1976 by the French bodybuilder Serge Nubret. The association joined the National Amateur Bodybuilders Association (NABBA) based in England in 1977, but unjoined again in 1983.
Today WABBA has representatives in many countries, either in Europe and in other continents. In Europe the most active countries are Italy, [1] United Kingdom, Greece, Switzerland, and Spain [2] with hundreds of athletes. Each country holds numerous contests, including regional and national competitions.
WABBA International [3] holds every year at least three major international competitions, the World Championships in early summer, Mr/Ms Universe in late autumn and the Hercules Olympia in late spring.
