World Cities Day
World Cities Day, an initiative in the Shanghai Declaration of the World Expo 2010[1] issued at the Shanghai World Expo Summit Forum on October 31, 2010.
On December 6, 2013, the UN General Assembly designated 31 October as World Cities Day.[2], by its resolution 68/239[3] This is the first international day that China has promoted at the United Nations and has won the support of all UN member states.

In 2015, the world cities day was celebrated on 31 October in Milan, Italy under the theme Designed to Live Together.
2014 Theme: Leading Urban Transformations[edit]
The first World Cities Day was celebrated in Shanghai, China on 31 October 2014, under the theme Leading Urban Transformations.
