World War I, a massive conflict that took much lives and changed the world forever. Its main reason to break out was the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a Serb named Gavrillo Princip.
28th June - Franz Ferdinand assasinated
28th July - Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia
30th July - Russian Mobilization
1st August - Germany declares war on Russia
3rd August - Germany declares war on France
4th August - Germany declares war on Belgium (Schlieffen Plan)
10th August - Austro-Hungarian offensive on Russia
9th September - German advance on Northern France halted (First Battle of the Marne)
