World development foundation

World Development Foundation (WDF) is a knowledge based global foundation. WDF strives to empower the poor by using ICT, Mass Media and broadcast technologies for imparting education. WDF worked for the dissemination of innovations and technology that benefited the greatest number of the underprivileged population. WDF used the Community Radio Stations for increasing the income of farmers through broadcast of improved methods of agriculture in various regions of India. WDF also conceived, designed and implemented a pilot project “Agricultural Knowledge Dissemination System” for Bihar Govt (India). Further WDF has successfully completed several overseas projects including seven radio stations in Ethiopia for socio-economic development of the country.

WDF provides consultancy, education and trains the youth from rural areas to earn the livelihood with the use of Radio, TV, ICT, AI, Robotics and the New Media through WDF University for SDG2030 and in association with several Government Universities. WDF conducts research, conferences and seminars on social and economic issues.

WDF has a vision that for developing countries, the emerging Technologies like ICT, Mass Media, AI, Robotics, OTT, Cloud Radio are the most convenient and cost- effective means of sharing knowledge, removal of poverty, empowerment of poor and under privileged, propagating the rights of women and children etc.   WDF’s Mission is Achieving SDG 2030, focusing on Education & Agriculture using technology for remote education and training.
