Dee Robinson (Born January 15, 1998) is an American Entertainer, Rapper & Gamer from Chicago, Illinois. A figure on the rise as he has built his image and his artistry from scratch. He is mostly discoverable on YouTube & Soundcloud. Nicknamed "XOD" (X-O-D), he has stated that the three letters in which he goes by can stand for a few things. In his first explanation of what his name means ge states, "The x and the o, can mean hugs and kisses. While the D is simply from my name." He would give one more insight to the origin of his name, "it also could be love [x] & overdose [od]." Though he has said that there are two explanations on the origin of his name, he prefers the first one.
Personal Life[edit]
XOD has 3 brother, two of which he shares his parents on both sides.
Oldest brother on his fathers side, Dewayne nicknamed "Rock Robb" was introduced to XOD when he was just 5 years old. They share the same father but have different mothers. XOD credits Dewayne to a lot of his growth in life and music. Oldest brother on his mothers side, Darren, helped raise Robinson. Being 13 years older, XOD saw him as a hero in his life. They share the same mother. Youngest brother DaMonte is the only brother whom shares both parents with Robinson. Also does music. They are very close in age.
He graduated from Elgin Academy High School in 2016, where he was a star athlete in Basketball and Soccer. He would then play collegiate basketball at Elgin Community College in 2017 & 2018.
Gaming & YouTube[edit]
On YouTube, Robinson has gathered at the moment 1,670 subscribers. At this point of time he as been doing it consistently for about a year. Posting funny gaming videos, his music, and comedic short videos on his monetized channel.
He plays typically NBA2K and Call of Duty on YouTube.
XOD is apart of BOKC (Black Ops Killing Crew), a video game clan that plays Call of Duty and NBA2K. He is close to the clans founder, Trae Flocka, and views him as a big brother. Trae Flocka, famous for his "roasting" videos on Call of Duty has over 240,000 subscribers on YouTube. Robinson became a member in 2018, but has been a fan of Flocka since 2015.
Music[edit]
He posts his music on YouTube and Soundcloud as an independent artist.
As of 2020, Robinson has made 2 official mixtapes, "Love Life" & "Summer's Over EP" both of which are posted on Soundcloud. He also has a number of singles that have gained some notoriety, a few being: "Lord Forgive Me (feat. Breana Marin & Dreamlife Beats)" "HOPE", "The Party" & More. He has never been paid for his music and provides credit for the samples and instrumentals he uses.
None of Robinson's music is on iTunes but has said he will post music on APPLE soon.
Robinson draws influence from artists such as JAY-Z, J. Cole, Drake, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Black Thought, Prodigy, Mobb Deep, DMX, Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Master- P, Lil Wayne, ScHoolBoy Q, Method Man, Ice Cube, OutKast & Busta Rhymes.
XOD loves east coast rap for it's lyricism and lifestyle.
Robinson has been rapping since he was a 5 year old but never released music until he was 14.
