XOGO Decision Signage

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Overview[edit]

XOGO Decision Signage is a technology company based in Washington state, USA. Founded in 2015, the company is focused on delivering low-cost digital signage technology to businesses around the world. XOGO technology powers all of the interactive retail experiences for Microsoft Surface retailers around the globe.

Technology[edit]

The XOGO platform is cloud-based and leverages Microsoft Azure as a backend. Users install the XOGO Player application on their own device or buy a XOGO Mini media player appliance, which comes with XOGO Player pre-installed on an underlying Windows 10 IoT Core OS. Users then download a secondary application called XOGO Manager on their own device, which allows them to upload graphics and videos, create playlists, and send them (via the cloud) to their network of players.[1]

XOGO's cloud-based architecture allows for remote-triggering of content based upon input from sensors, the XOGO API or the XOGO Manager application. The XOGO apps are cross-platform and available for free on the Windows Store and Google Play Store. A version of the XOGO Manager app is being developed for Apple iOS devices.[2]

Pricing Model[edit]

The XOGO Mini media player retails for USD $85. The software platform itself has a freemium model where the apps are free to download and the first digital sign is free to deploy, but with limitations as to the amount of content and length of videos that can be uploaded. Additional players can be added to an account for USD $20 per player per month.

Competitors[edit]

There are many existing providers in the digital signage space, including prominent brands like Scala, Fourwinds Interactive, JCDecaux, Omnivex and BrightSign. Startups like XOGO are attempting to disrupt this space by offering lower cost hardware and software.[3]

Notable Clients[edit]

XOGO counts Microsoft Surface as an enterprise client[4], along with a prominent German automaker and two Fortune 500 retailers[5]. The company reportedly has hundreds of small business clients around the world. XOGO has a presence on Amazon, Capterra, Microsoft AppSource and several social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
