Xie Yao Quan

Xie Yao Quan (Chinese: 谢曜全; pinyin: Xiè Yào Quán; born 19 October 1984) is a Singaporean professional and community leader.

Education[edit]

Xie completed his pre-university education at Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College before graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Duke University.

Career[edit]

In 2003, Xie began his career in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), where he was awarded the SAF Merit Scholarship.[1]. Xie held various command appointments and helped develop future strategic requirements for the SAF. In 2013, he joined an investment management company and oversaw its interests in real estate, hospitality and other sectors in South East Asia and China. He is currently Head of Healthcare Redesign in Alexandra Hospital, a member of National University Health System (NUHS).[2]

Community Leadership[edit]

Xie currently serves on the Singapore Road Safety Council[3], the Board of SG Enable and the Merdeka Generation Communications and Engagement Taskforce[4]. He is also a grassroots leader with the People's Association. In this capacity, Xie has started a football and study programme for students[5], an inclusive community initiative for persons with disabilities and seniors[6], a community gardening movement[7] and an art gifting project[8]

Personal Life[edit]

Xie is married to a regional business development manager.
