Xinxue

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Xinxue (心學) literally Learning of the Heart-and-Mind is a historical chinese Confucian tradition. It is sometimes called the Lu-Wang school after its core proponents Wang Yangming and Lu Jiuyuan. It was seen as a rival to the Lixue [zh] school sometimes called the Cheng-Zhu school after its leading philosophers, Cheng Yi and Zhu Xi.[1]

It had a notion of a kind of spiritual uplifting of someone through the understandinf of their heart. It may have had an impact on the cultural revolution as a result[2]. Xinxue holds that everyone has the ability to understand the universal principle, as the human heart is identical to the universal principle[2].
