Xochitl Torres Small
Xochitl Torres Small is an American attorney from New Mexico. She is the 2018 Democratic nominee for the United States House of Representatives to represent New Mexico's 2nd congressional district.
Early life and education[edit]
Torres Small was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Marcos and Cynta Torres. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in from Georgetown University in 2007 and her Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2015. Torres Small works as a water attorney with Kemp Smith.[1] She is married to Nathan Small.[2]
Political career[edit]
From 2009 to 2012, Torres Small worked for Senator Tom Udall in his first southern New Mexico field office.[3] Her campaign platform include a focus on improving rural broadband service and economic development.[4]
