History
YAB ?! Counts originally started around August 2023. On 27 August, the crew announced Instagram social media counts will not be added due to a Cease and desist letter to Livecounts.IO.[1] By September 2nd, they announced that YAB ?! Counts was 70% complete. On 10 September, they released beta counters to 24/7 streamers in the stats community. By the 15th of October, YAB ?! Counts had crossed 90% complete, and were ready for launch.
The website was launched on 22 October, 2023 at 1 AM UTC, and got an estimated 1,600 page views on the day of release.[2]
Version 1.0.1 was announced on 23 October, said to add ~100K new channels, and was released on 10 November.
Version 1.0.2 released on 13 November, added a public API, and got support from Arc.
YAB ?! Counts also got officially monetized around 10 December, 2023.
By January 2024, three minor updates had been released.
