Yadessa Kuma (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.; born 18 December 1952) is an Ethiopian athlete.[1] He competed in the men's triple jump at the 1980 Summer Olympics.[2]
On 23 July, Kuma represented Ethiopia in the triple jump qualifying round.[3] He jumped 13.49 m on his first attempt, and improved to 13.60 m on his following jump.[1]
Being behind the rest of the field by approximately 10 feet (3.0 m), he reportedly "[gave] his all" on his final qualifying attempt. He broke his leg during the jump, and his mark was counted as a foul.[1][4]
His best mark stood at 13.60 m, placing him 21st and not advancing him to the finals.[5][6]
In 1985, Kuma improved his triple jump personal best to 13.88 metres.[1]
