Yattiny First Draft
Y Yattiny were an Indie Rock band formed in Bedford, UK.
History
Formative years
In early 1997, founding member Luke Fattorusso approached Kieran Tinkler and Paul Clarke with a back catalogue of 7 songs. These included:
Intellectual Conversation
Happy Song
I write because I am
Living south of the river (and it hurts so much)
Despite bringing his own flavour of unique songs (One Touch, One Love), Paul Clarke left the band to pursue a career in drywalling.
Peak years
Owing to the band's lack of talent, Fattorusso recruited James "Jimmy" Fay on drums and J.R. Hartley on guitar. Whilst Hartley's style fit the existing band well, Fay was quickly replaced by journeyman Tom Ward.
Late 1998 saw a spate of gigs in the local Bedford area:
Southend Club - December 1997
George & Dragon - March 1998
Esquires - July 1998, December 1998, April 1999
Blow back
Following disappointing results in Summer 1999, the band disbanded and moved to solo projects. In time Fattorusso formed Briganté with very limited success. Ward went on to form the Sandstorm Film Studios.
