Ye KeQin, (Chinese: 叶克勤; * April 1960 in Beijing), is a professional Calligrapher, legal representative of Beijing Yantian Culture and Technology Co., Ltd., president of Beijing Yantian Academy, and founder of Ye Keqin Calligraphy Studio and Art Gallery of Yantian Academy.

Life and career

Influenced by his family since childhood, he has a passion for calligraphy. He learned from the famous calligraphers of past dynasties, studied with great concentration, and continued to write for decades. He is good at regular script, running script, and large-character calligraphy.

In 2010, he became the first disciple of Tian YingZhang (zh:田英章), a famous Chinese calligrapher. He studied calligraphy intensively and thought about teaching. He once said: "Inquiring about calligraphy inherits the orthodox tradition, and refining calligraphy tastes elegant and refined." ("问书袭正承统,炼字味雅达趣")

Calligraphy works are rooted in tradition, dignified and beautiful, handsome and straight, unique in style and self-contained. He is in his sixtieth year, and he is both experienced and well-educated.

Calligraphy

In 2016, he was invited to write the calligraphy "One Belt, One Road" for the theme promotional video for the Hangzhou G20 Summit.[1]

Since 2000, he has been constantly exploring the integration of traditional art into modern aesthetics. He created a large number of artistic works with a sense of the times, and founded "Beijing Yantian Cultural Communication Co., Ltd." in Beijing. He opened a famous lecture hall at its subsidiary "Yantian Academy" and taught classes in person; he also ran a gallery to display and sell artworks.

"Yantian Academy" (Chinese: 砚田书院) is its own brand. Its artworks and stationery products under the "Yantian Academy" brand are widely recognized and supported by colleagues and collectors in the industry.
