Samuel H. Wang Yeshiva University High School for Girls (YUHSG, also known as "Central") offers college preparatory curricula and Jewish studies programs leading to an academic diploma endorsed by the New York State Board of Regents and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.[1] Affiliated with Yeshiva University, the school is located in Holliswood, in the New York City borough of Queens.

Classes[edit]

Advanced Placement offerings include English literature, English language, Jewish history, American history, government, calculus, chemistry, biology, art and psychology. Electives include basic studio art, advanced Spanish, and Arabic, physics, forensics and pre-calculus.[citation needed]

Student activities[edit]

Extracurricular activities include drama, softball, soccer, basketball, tennis, hockey, Debate team, College Bowl, Torah bowl, Model United Nations and Model Congress, and various community service opportunities. Central also participates in the Salute to Israel Parade.
