Yggdrassil (network protocol)
Yggdrasil is a peer-to-peer end-to-end encrypted IPv6 network [1], not to be mistaken for the blockchain project with which it shares a name.[2] It is equally suited for enabling isolated mesh networks, or connecting nodes distributed across the internet (or whatever network it is deployed in).[1] The IPv6 address assigned to a node is derived from the device's MAC address.
At time of writing it was still an alpha-stage project, under active development.[3]
