Ynot Italian, commonly known simply as Ynot, is a family-owned pizza chain in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
Origin of the name
In third grade, Tony would write Ynot (Tony spelled backwards) on his tests. The name stuck around, and Tony used it as the name for his first restaurant when it opened.[1]
History
In 1993, Tony DiSilvestro opened his first location in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach. He quickly expanded to four other locations across Virginia Beach. Tony hopes to expand throughout Virginia and into West Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., and North Carolina.[2][3]
Menu
Ynot primarily serves pizza, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and other Italian-American foods.[4][5]
Incidents
In 2022, the kitchen at the Greenbrier location of Ynot caught fire and had to be extinguished by the Chesapeake Fire Department. The location was closed until further notice.[6]
