Yoichi Asakawa

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Yoichi Asakawa is a character from the 1998 film adaptation of Koji Suzuki's novel Ring, published in 1991, portrayed by Rikiya Otaka. He also appears in Ring 2. He is the son of Reiko Asakawa and Ryuji Takayama, is about seven years of age and, like his parents (particularly his father), has supernatural powers, namely ESP.[citation needed]

In other media

Yoichi appears as a playable character in Sadako Rising, an expansion pack to the multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight.[1][2][3][4] Sadako Rising was originally going to be an adaptation of Ring, with Reiko Asakawa and Ryuji Takayama being considered by developer Behaviour Interactive as playable characters. However, the team could not obtain the respective likenesses of actors Nanako Matsushima and Hiroyuki Sanada, so it was decided to make the chapter a continuation of the Ring films with an adult Yoichi once again encountering Sadako.[5]
