Yomi Sars aka Guccimaneeko (born November 26) is a singer and police officer, a Police officer cum music artiste, Abayomi Ekundayo, aka Yomi SARS.
Biography
Abayomi Ekundayo (born November 26) better known by his stage name Guccimaneeko aka Yomi Sars is a Nigerian police officer, cum singer and rapper, also a recording artist and performer. He gained widespread attention after releasing the 2015 single "Adoyoyo", a street-pop single from his "Sapon" Mixtape. His songs are mostly composed in English and Yoruba.
Early life and education
Yomi Sars was born in Ifo, Ogun State, Nigeria. Leaving home very early, he moved to Lagos State, Nigeria. He started his education at Army children school Kano, before proceeding to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where he graduated with distinctions. He went further to join Nigeria police academy between 2009-2011, where he graduated as Nigeria Police Officer.
Career
2017: Career Beginning
In 2017, his music career officially kicked off. He released singles like Adoyoyo, Japa and Ijo.
2018 - Present: Sapon Sounds Mixtape
On October 18, 2018, Yomi Sars released his debut studio EP and Mixtape "Sapon Sounds".
RECORD DEAL
On December 3, 2018, Yomi Sars officially got signed to DypeNation.
Artistry
In an interview with Pulse.ng[1] Yomi Sars spoke on his driving force, “I was born with a silver spoon but I left the comfort of my home to be on the Street just as if I knew my mum won't stay on for long......I thank God who led my path on the street and made me a better person.”
