YouAreAnIdiot (Malware)
YouAreAnIdiot is a trojan computer virus that flashes smiley faces and the phrase " you are an idiot" on your screen. The virus came up around 2002 under the name "offiz."[1] The virus uses JavaScript as the Programing language, and it uses a HTML5 port.
Origin[edit]
The virus came from a website called "youdontknowwhoiam.com" which later got taken down in 2019.[2]
Original and Variants[edit]
The Original YouAreAnIdiot would open six windows and an audio singing "you are an idiot! ha ha ha ha ha" would play closing a tab would open 2 more tabs. Trying to use task manager or Alt + F4 does not work and a pop-up will show saying the user is an idiot.[2] The virus was created by a user on the current website "YouAreAnIdiot.com" named Andrew Regner[3]
YouAreAnIdiot 2[edit]
YouAreAnIdiot 2 is an unofficial sequel to the original virus, it was created by Computer Virus Watch in 2013.[2]
YouAreAnIdiot.cc[edit]
YouAreAnIdiot.cc is an attempt recreation of the website created by EnderManch.[2]
