Youm Wara Youm[1][2] is the second demo EP released by deathcore/djent band Born of Osiris, then known as YOURHEARTENGRAVED. It was created while the band members were in high school. It contains original versions of newer and more popular songs released by the band. It was self-released.
Recording
Supposedly, either another vocalist, Trevor Hurlbert or keyboardist and backup vocalist Joe Buras performed clean vocals throughout the album. For this album, it is currently unknown; however, for the first demo release, it was certain that a second vocalist was used throughout the recording process. The cause for concern is that the clean vocals on Youm Wara Youm sound almost identical to the cleans on Your Heart Engraved These Messages. Many say it was Joe Buras, as his higher-pitched screaming vocal style is distinguishable from lead singer Ronnie Canizaro's, while others claim the little-known Hurlbert took the honors. Joe Buras' screams in albums such as A Higher Place and Tomorrow We Die Alive sound very similar to those on both of the demo EPs released in their high school days.
Release
The album was released in 2004, and captured only local acclaim and small shows in suburban Chicago.
