Youssef Hazem Nofal (also Youssef Hazem, Arabic: يوسف حازم نوفل‎; born May 19, 2000) is an Egyptian competitive swimmer. An Egyptian national champion, he competes in the breaststroke, individual medley (IM) and freestyle distance events. He is currently representing Al Ahly Sporting Club. Youssef used to be the national champion since 2013 for 200 m Breaststroke, 400 m IM, 800 m Freestyle and 1,500 m Freestyle events.

Early Start[edit]

Son to Telecom Engineers Hazem Nofal and Shireen Samir, Youssef was born in Cairo, Egypt in 2000, and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He has started swimming at the age of four at the Al Ahly Sporting Club.

Academic[edit]

Youssef started at El Rowad College School, then by the 10th grade he moved to Cairo Manara Boys' Language School. He obtained his 6th grade at 98.8%, then he obtained his 9th grade at 95%. Currently, Youssef is getting prepared for his 12th grade graduation year 2018.

Youssef competed in more than 18 events within the last 5 years. He competed in Cairo Swimming Zone Championships, Egyptian National Swimming Championships, Egyptian National Swimming Cup as well as international championships and he collected 50 medals:
