The Youth Jazz Ensemble of DuPage (or YJED) is a conglomerate jazz ensemble residing in Wheaton, Illinois. Founded by Professor Robert Blazek in 1998, YJED was created as a way for high school musicians to perform professional level music. Members are selected from 20+ high schools in the Chicago region, and are required to submit an audition video for review.

Since being founded in ‘98, YJED has continued to have great success, being selected for the Essentially Ellington Festival twice, and performing with jazz legends Wycliffe Gordon, Gordon Goodwin, Bob Lark, and many others.
