Youth Journalism International is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides journalism education to young people.[1] Founded by journalists Steve Collins and Jackie Majerus in 2007[2][3], it is a successor organization to The Tattoo,[4] a teen newspaper first appearing in 1994.[5]

Notable coverage included first person accounts of Hurricane Katrina and the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.[6] The organization also runs an annual teen journalism contest.[7]
