Youth Opportunities is an international youth organization which is the largest opportunity discovery platform for youth across the globe. Youth Opportunities envisages to bring together experts and recruiters with aspiring youth under one platform so that a direct bridge is built among different stakeholders for equitable and easy access to opportunities for all. With the vision of preparing the youth of today with necessary knowledge, skill set and aptitude, Youth Opportunities open up digital opportunities that await for personal and professional development of youth.

Brief History[edit]

Youth opportunities has started its journey from Dhaka back in January 2012. Since then Youth Opportunities has reached to more than 200[1] countries from every corner of the world and has already served more than 4 million youth. With a commitment of creating a culture of equal, easy and instantaneous access to opportunities for all, Youth Opportunities takes the lead in ensuring access to information such as scholarship, internship, competition, conference and others creating a robust network of much needed dissemination, awareness and access. Youth Opportunities launched their mobile app on 25th April 2017 for the android users. [1] On 30th January 2018, Youth Opportunities launched the Bangla website in specially designed for the Bengali speaking people. [2]

Founders[edit]

Osama bin Noor and Makshudul Manik, co-founders of Youth Opportunities, started posting several opportunities in the Facebook page of Youth Opportunities in 2012. Later, they launched Youth Opportunities official website and mobile apllication. [3] [1] Osama bin Noor is the winner of many prestigious international and national awards including Quins Young Leader Award 2016, Forbes 30 under 30 in Asia award, 100 Visionary Leaders in 2016, Raising High Award 2016 by The Daily Star which is the leading English daily in Bangladesh. He is also a fellow at Yunus&Youth, and an Associate Fellow at The Royal Commonwealth Fellow. [3] The other co-founder, Makshudul Manik, is a researcher on socio-economic issues and international affairs. He is also a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum (Dhaka Hub), Fellow, ICT Global Leader and an Alumni of Harvard PAIR.

What Youth Opportunities do[edit]

This platform works to bridge between youths and their scope to contribute to create a better world. Currently, YO is providing the following categories of opportunities for free:[4]

YO has expanded its work arena other than providing information. Organization has arranged many programs for young people such as a round table discussion named ‘Leading towards success together’, a session on “Digital Opportunities for Youth” at Digital World Bangladesh 2017, which held in December 6-9 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. [5] YO also arranged a program in Indonesia for Indonesian youths.
