Youth Political Insider (YPI) is a UK-orientated Political News and analysis company headquartered in London, United Kingdom[1]. It was founded in May 2022 and has since gained over 500 followers on the social media platform, Twitter.[2]
Youth Political Insider claim to offer "perceptive commentaries". Their platform includes articles regarding Leader of the opposition, Sir Keir Starmer and Prime Minister Boris Johnson[3]. They have covered the recent Tory Leadership Election of 2022, with email campaigns and social media.[2] They claim to be a news platform, wherein young people can express themselves.
History
Youth Political Insider was founded in May 2022, and has since written various opinion articles and conducted interviews and polls. Youth Political Insider covered the 2022 Conservative Party Leadership Elections in the United Kingdom.[4]
Polls and Interviews
Polls
Youth Political Insider conduct various polls targeted at an approximate age range of 14-26. They then publish these results on their website and on social platforms, such as Twitter. A YPI poll of 15 young people across a targeted range of political views, found that 73.4% of those surveyed said that they disapproved of Prime Minister, Boris Johnson[5][6]
Interviews
YPI's interviews have also managed to express what young people think. One YPI interview involved someone describing their "unfortunate shed of embarrassment when thinking about the current government, leaving them more so politically homeless than ever."[1][7]
