Yucong (Henry) Duan (段玉聪) is a Chinese computer scientist and professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Hainan University. His work on the DIKWP framework (Data–Information–Knowledge–Wisdom–Purpose) and related large-language-model evaluations has been covered by provincial and national media, including Hainan Daily and Science and Technology Daily.[1][2][3]
Education
Duan received a bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering with a minor in Computer Science and Technology, and an M.S. in Computer Science and Technology, both from North University of China; he earned a Ph.D. in Computer Application Technology from the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006.[4]
Research and media coverage
Media reports have described DIKWP-based evaluations of large language models led from Hainan University in 2024–2025, quoting Duan on methods and applications.[5][6] Earlier interviews also quoted him on AI-trainer work and privacy-modeling topics.[7][8]
