Yushania grammata is a species of bamboo in the grass family, belonging to the genus Yushania in the tribe Arundinarieae.[1][2] It was described by T.P. Yi.[3] The specific epithet grammata means "lined" or "marked with lines", referring to visible striations or longitudinal markings on the culm sheaths or internodes.[2] It is an evergreen bamboo growing at moderate to high elevations in the mountains of southwestern China, where Yushania species are a significant element of the understorey vegetation and, in some areas, provide food for the giant panda.[4]
