Yvonne Maria Schaefer

Yvonne Maria Schaefer (* September 28th 1975 in Frankfurt am Main) is a German-American Actress, Film Producer, Model, and Scientist.^[1], ^[2]

Life

Yvonne Maria Schaefer was born and raised in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and studied there at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University. In 2011, Yvonne married American actor Federico Castelluccio, who portrayed the Italian enforcer Furio in the TV series The Sopranos. ^[3], ^[4], ^[5]

Career

Early on, Yvonne Maria Schaefer began her career as an actress and model. She worked with agencies in Europe, Asia, and South Africa for designers and sports manufacturers, including Ferrari, Gucci, Nike, and Wolford. In the 1990s, she studied psychology at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Due to her worldwide travels and activities in extreme sports, Maxim Lifestyle Magazine voted Yvonne Maria Schaefer as the "Action Girl". In 2004, Yvonne Maria Schaefer was on the annual Maxim Calendar - Most Beautiful Woman of the Year, as Action Girl together with Pamela Anderson, Elisha Cuthbert, and Carmen Electra^[6] , ^[7] During her travels, Yvonne intensively studied the theories of physics linking the spiritual with the material world, and attended and studied seminars in metaphysics, epigenetics, and healing science. Yvonne Maria Schaefer resumed her work as an actress in the 1990s and has worked in international films, TV series, and stage productions. She appeared in press and television magazines, like New York Post, Hello, Maxim, Bunte, Bild, Daily News, Explosiv - Das Magazin, Hallo Deutschland ZDF Hallo Deutschland, and others. She sang background vocals for various bands, including Joe Cocker and Vanessa Mae.^[8] Yvonne worked part-time in various countries in Asia and Spain. In Spain, she lived in Mallorca and Malaga, and worked in Spanish film production, including Trece. In 2008, Yvonne moved to New York City where she continued working as an actress and producer. She founded in the same year YMC Films, a film production company in New York^[9] and in 2012 YMC Entertainment, a branch in Frankfurt am Main Germany ^[10] Schaefer co-produced the film The Child (2012) - an adaptation of Sebastian Fitzek's novel of the same name - a segment of Berlin I Love You (2019), with Hayden Panettiere, The Other Path(2020) ^[11], Keep Your Enemies Closer(2013) an action thriller starring Bill Sadler (The Greene Mile), The Brooklyn Banker (2016) and more. As an actress, Yvonne can be seen in "Brooklyn Banker", in "The Child" as Sophie Stern, with Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), alongside Paul Sorvino GoodFellas in Lily of the Feast and more. In 2008, Yvonne Maria Schaefer met the actor and painter Federico Castelluccio. The couple lives in New York City.

On a joint trip to Frankfurt Germany in 2010, the couple visited a gallery, in which Federico Castelluccio discovered a painting by the 17th-century Italian baroque painter Guercino. Castelluccio then bought it at auction. A 6-part German documentary film has been made about the discovery of the long-lost Guercino painting, featuring Federico Castelluccio and Yvonne Maria Schaefer. The title of the documentary is "This can only be a real Guercino". ^[12]
