Zacch Adedeji (FCA) (born 18 January 1978),[1] is a well-known Finance Leader and Professional with a proven track record spanning 15 years of hands-on executive experience (+16 years qualified chartered accountant) in strategy, accounting and financial management, financial analysis/reporting, internal controls, change management, and people management. Expert generalist in overseeing all aspects of a multi-million-dollar business, proactive, goal-oriented senior executive with extensive international financial management and operations experience both in the private and public sectors. He rose to be a Finance Leader in Procter and Gamble and was once Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, Nigeria where he made strategic initiatives and contributions. He currently provides advisory services and technical support on Finance, Strategy, and Tax laws to various public and private bodies in Nigeria.

Education

Zacch Adedeji had his secondary education at Methodist High School, Fiditi, Oyo State; a city in the South-western part of Nigeria from 1992 - 1997. After high school, he gained admission to the renowned Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, where he emerged as the best graduating student with honors in 2005. He is also among the very few who have a combined Polytechnic and University degree with first-class honors. His quest for knowledge motivated him to delve further to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria in 2017.

Zacch has also attended various training and excellence programs in the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Government ranging from training on Comparative Tax Policy and Administration to having an executive certificate in Economic Development. He is an SAP Leader and has attended several SAP training sessions around the world.

Career

Zacch Adedeji has over 15 years of hands-on executive experience (+16 years qualified chartered accountant) in strategy, accounting, and financial management, financial analysis/reporting, internal controls, change management, and people management. Expert generalist in overseeing all aspects of a multi-million-dollar business, proactive, goal-oriented senior executive with extensive international financial management and operations experience both in the private and public sectors. He was once Commissioner of Finance in Oyo State, Nigeria where he led a team of ~50 people comprising of Director/Accountant General, Heads of Departments, Senior Managers & Special Advisers to institute a medium-term Financial strategy for the overall framework of Financial and budgetary management. This led to financial reporting excellence resulting in sustainable growth in cash flow for recurrent expenditure and financing Capital expenditure. He flawlessly rolled out a robust framework for financial forecasting that identified new revenue sources and expense drivers while improving the conditions to access the capital market by the Enactment of the Fiscal Responsibility Act. Prior to this appointment, he held different positions at American Multinational company Procter and Gamble, where he led cross-functional teams (Accounts Payable, Financial Analysis, Treasury, General Accounting and Tax management) to prepare and report Financial statements regionally & globally through consolidated data entry tools. He spearheaded day-to-day evaluation and implementation of SAP modules – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Treasury and Affiliate accounts for P&G West Africa. He streamlined management processes and was promoted to Row leader within 2 months of project implementation. He is currently the principal partner in RTR Consulting where he provides technical support and non-partisan expertise to the Public Sector in the area of fiscal decentralization, ensuring effective policy development, implementation and response to key barriers in a cashless economy, decentralization agenda and reforms, providing support in strengthening revenue forecasting capacity to various clients in Nigeria. He offers diagnostic consultations; review and analysis of current revenue forecasting and estimation approaches; compilation and presentation of relevant international experiences.
