Zachary Aaron Daniels (born January 23, 1999) is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent.

Career

Daniels attended Eagle's Landing High School in McDonough, Georgia, and played college baseball at the University of Tennessee.[1] He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the fourth round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft.[2][3] Daniels did not appear for the organization in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[4]

Daniels spent his first professional season in 2021 with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers and Asheville Tourists, hitting .224 with nine home runs, 48 RBI, and 22 stolen bases over 85 total games.[5] He spent the 2022 campaign with Asheville, playing in 95 games and slashing .282/.371/.522 with 23 home runs, 64 RBI, and 22 stolen bases.[6]

Daniels split the 2023 campaign between Fayetteville and the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks. In 84 appearances split between the two affiliates, he batted .277/.349/.462 with 13 home runs, 52 RBI, and 22 stolen bases.[7] Daniels returned to the two affiliates in 2024, playing in only 20 games and hitting .169 with two home runs, seven RBI, and four stolen bases. Daniels was released by the Astros organization on March 12, 2025.[8]
