She finished the race in third place, with a time of 32.53 seconds. Pinto, however, failed to advance into the semi-finals, as she placed eighty-second in the overall rankings.[2]

She also competed at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, competing in the 50 m freestyle.[3]

She competed in the opening rounds of the 2015 World Championships, in the women's 50 m freestyle and 100 m freestyle.[4]

She has also coached at Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Club, Phuket, Thailand.[5] In 2021, she worked with the Tongan Swimming Federation.[6]

Pinto is the president of Malsoc (Malawi Society) for the year 2016 at Rhodes University.
