Zalim Istanbul (Cruel Istanbul) is a Turkish drama television series broadcast by Kanal D.
Season 1
Seher and her family, coming from Hatay to Istanbul, arrive at the Karaçay mansion totally unaware of everything that is going to happen. When Seher heard the word "for sale" it was like someone shot her tin the head, along with the envelope in hand she jumps up and slaps Agah Karaçay in the face with words of embarrassment. While Agah Bey was surprised of what happened, Seher was embarrassed of Ceren's ambition. Seher is determined to pack up her children and belongings and leave, with a burning heart and tears in her eyes, they ride on the bus, where she completely falls apart. Agah is working with Nedim on repenting his sins when Nedim says a couple of words which excite him, while an uninvited guest. Ceren who has been stabbed in the back from her own sister, starts to question Agah for the situation that he has put Ceren into, while at the same facing off Seher. When Damla arrives at the mansion with Civan's blood on her hands, everyone turn into ice. Cenk being the protective older brother cannot control his anger and he punishes those responsible. This is the first time that Agah and Cenk share the feeling of father and son. When Cemre makes an issue of the fact that Cenk always remains silent regarding Nedim, Cenk does not know what to do; while thinking about. Cemre is stunned when she sees Cenk standing in-front of her. In response to his arrogant moves, he gets a totally unexpected response. Civan who refuses to stop blaming Agah, has all of the attorney's doing everything they can to save him. Seher's hands are still around the Karaçay's neck. Seniz uses this opportunity to throw Seher an her family out and also continue poisoning Nedim. Once again the Yilmaz family find themselves with their baggage in the streets, but this time they get support from someone that they never expected. When Cemre gets a totally unexpected response from Agah her anger continues to escalate. Nedim has reached the point where there is no way of controlling him. Cenks moves with this instincts in order to protect Cemre from his mother and he is now face to face for the first time in opposition with her mother. Ceren, using her own terms and feeling confident with the existence of a benefactor, makes her move but the evilness this time jumps to hurt Nedim as well. At the end of what she has done the effect on Nedim and Cenk is unimaginable, After everything that just have. The showdown started by Cenk with a gun is his hand, has Cemre living the biggest fear of her life. Even though Seher loses control with Agah's request but the point that she is totally helpless and she is dealing with the guilt of feeling sorry. The stress for Cenk and Cemre escalates with the confession. While Agah is waiting for a response from Seniz who is fuming with anger, but during this he wait he loses control and the showdown between father and son moves into the danger zone. The Karaçay mansion is going to be full of back to back serious and heavy showdowns. As Ceren dives straight into her dreams with the support that she receives from Seniz, she is slapped in the face in the most ruthless way with the truth. While Cemre and Cenk are living through a traumatic confession, the pressure they get from Agah and Seher is going to totally stun them. Agah and Seher who are afraid to face the truth, fall right into the middle of a huge showdown. Cemre is now stuck at a point of no return and she blames Cenk for this situation. Cenk however has no idea how serious this situation is. Seniz's flawless plan continues and gives Ceren. Thanks to Seniz's flawless plan, Ceren receives the most painful lesson of her life. The signature that she just placed and the yelling that follows turns the entire mansion upside down. As Seher blames Agah for not allowing this marriage to take place, Cemre demands explanation from her sibling. Seher now knows that she has no other choice but to bow to her pride and ask Seniz for help in getting her daughter out of the mansion. However Seniz has her own plans for Seher and her family. Cemre throws in the flag as she can no longer take any of the actions being made. While Seher and Agah are starring at the scene before them in shock and awe, Senis is only thinking about Cenk. Cenk is not as afraid of the answer but more so the questions that he must face. The fact that Ceren may be pregnant has an earth shattering effect on the Yilmaz family. Seniz is busy putting plans into motion to be able to eliminate Cemre from their family completely. While Cemre thinks that the baby's father is not Nedim, she is going to be hit with one more truth from somewhere totally unexpected. After everything that just happened, this is all enough.
Season 2
There's complete mayhem in the mansion after Cemre takes Nedim away. Agah leaves no stone unturned, he even looks for them in his hometown. Seher is after her daughter and the reason why Cemre has done it. Ceren victimizes herself to win her mother's support about the incident. Seher is determined not to make her children fall apart until Neriman steps in. Seher now has to protect both her daughters' bond and her secret. Seniz tries her best to find Cemre and Nedim before anyone else. However, she's not aware that Cenk has caught her in the act. When Cenk gets one. Cenk and Cemre's unexpected encounter turns into a chase. Cemre doesn't trust Cenk at all, she doesn't believe that he has good intentions and she manages to come back to the hostel after facing him bitterly. Afraid of the hostel employee that recognizes him, Nedim tries to warn Cemre but Cemre is in panic because of Cenk and only thing she can think of is to run away from there at night. Agah has been pursuing Sahin for a while and it turns out that he's right suspecting him. Seniz goes behind Agah's back. Agah is not going to ignore this fact but he has to find his brothers son. Cenk cannot stay indifferent to the fact that Cemre is sent to Antakya and he stops her on the road. Shortly after, the news comes to the Karacay mansion. Ceren learns about it before Agah and rushes to grill Cenk and Cemre. However, she gets even more surprised when she arrives there. Cemre looks for a new way of life. As Seher feels guilty towards her daughter, Civan gets to be the first one to hear about Cemre. Cemre finds herself beside Nedim again when she decides to isolate herself. Agah looks for a bigger precaution to keep Cemre away from Nedim. Cemre doesn't accept Cenk's extraordinary offer. Although Cenk tells Cemre that they have no other option, Cemre doesn't even consider doing it. Having caught Ceren tormenting Nedim, Seher waits for an explanation from her daughter. And Agah finds himself in the middle of a mother-daughter fight. Seher is determined to learn the reason why she's tormenting Nedim and why she doesn't stop talking about Cenk. Meanwhile, Cemre wants to help Nedim no matter what. To do this, she needs Cenk's help. Even though they take action for a new plan about Nedim, they are not aware. Cenk and Cemre's surprising marriage affects every single one in the mansion terribly. While Seniz is having a meltdown because of her son's marriage, Seher tries her best to convince her daughter to take the wedding ring off. However, Cemre is utterly resolute in her decision to reach out to Nedim. After Agah learns about Cenk's unpleasant surprise, he banishes Cenk and Cemre from the mansion. This situation drives Agah to the brink of disinheriting his son while Seniz fights Seher and her daughters for her son. Seniz even risks standing up to Agah. As Ceren and Neriman get out of the mansion, they come across Cemre and Cenk. Doors of the mansion are now open for Cemre and Cenk. Ceren is shocked by this truth. As for Cemre and Cenk, they are as much surprised as Ceren. Questioning Agah's decision, they suspect that Seniz might be behind it. However, Seniz is too busy to care about Cemre and Cenk because Agah waits for an explanation from her. Ceren and Neriman get puzzled in the apartment they are brought. They suddenly come across Agah, Seher and Seniz and this means the game is over for them. When Cenk is about to give blood, he changes his mind and runs away from the hospital. Agah goes after his son and grills him. Cenk's back is against the wall now. This is the first time he has faced the great shame he is going to feel when the results come. Cemre is still under the influence of Nedim's absence. She tries to find out where and why he is sent. After learning about Ceren's paternity test, Seher goes directly to Agah. He cannot explain the exact reason but this is enough for Seher to have suspicions. Agah tells everyone that he has sent Nedim to London. Ceren realizes that the path they have chosen with Cenk is far away from the mansion and money, so she changes her plans. Civan blows a fuse after what he has heard and when he sees Cenk, he's so blinded by anger. Agah stops Civan with the test results. Being really confused, Cemre goes after the letter Cenk has left. As Cenk thinks that his mother is keeping the letter, the one who has read the letter confronts him when least expected. Meanwhile, Seniz gets ready to flip out on Agah. Agah, away from this chaos, watches his nephew is getting better day by day. However Nedim shows up and it literally confuses everyone in the mansion. They get shocked seeing Nedim healthy and standing up. The countdown for Seniz and Cenk has started with Nedim's arrival. Nedim tells Agah the mansion is not ready for him and leaves the mansion although his uncle insists that he should stay. When Nedim comes to the mansion the next day, Seniz's biggest nightmare comes true. The doomsday for Seniz and Cenk depends on what Nedim is going to say. Even if Cemre is under the same roof with Nedim, she cannot get closer to him but it doesn't stop her to feel welcome. Ceren gets shocked by what she hears from Nedim before even getting shocked at seeing him. As Seniz thinks her scheme goes perfect, Damla makes a move that will hit her below the belt. Whereas Damla includes Civan in her adventure, Agah raises hell in the mansion. And Cemre feels the burden of living under the same roof with Nedim every single second. Nedim's presence in the mansion continues to be a silent threat for Seniz and Cenk. Cenk is in such a state of mind that he doesn't seem he can stand this pressure any longer. While Seniz and Cenk are on full alert about nedim being healthy and walking perfectly fine. Everyone is astounded in the mansion seeing Nedim and Ceren hand in hand. After getting recovered from the shock, Agah attempts to send Ceren away. However, Nedim responds to this in a way that offends Agah excessively. Cenk and Damla are startled by Nedim who claims the mansion. As for Seniz, she tries to turn the tables. Whereas Cemre cannot believe what Nedim has been doing, Cenk reacts to it with rage. It's the final straw for Cenk when Nedim asks them when they will move out of the mansion. Cenk is resolute; if Nedim wants to fight, he is going to fight. Nedim's interference startles Cenk while he defends himself against Cemre's suspicions. Nedim starts an argument with Cenk that gives Cemre a deep shock. On the other hand, Seniz learns about the amount Ceren has demanded from Agah. Seniz cannot believe that Agah is hell-bent on this. She decides to use Seher to fight Cemre. Cenk cannot keep his cool any longer witnessing what happens between Nedim and Cemre. Nedim wants to make everyone in the mansion sure of his presence, yet his goal leads him to turn against his uncle. Seniz doesn't want to lose any money from Agah. Cenk and Cemre are shocked seeing Nedim and Ceren in the hotel. A restless silence rules over the place whenever they see each other. The vacation, which turns out to be an unbearable torture for Nedim and Cemre, is the last straw for Cenk. Although it starts pleasantly for Ceren, it ends like a nightmare for everyone. When Agah finds out what is happening, he flips out on Seniz. However, Seniz has already made a plan that will turn Agah against Seher. Seniz cunningly deceives Seher into speaking to Agah. Agah makes Seher see who her daughter actually is. Tables are turned on Seniz, she is hit under the belt when she least expects it. As Cenk and Nedim are in shock because of the incidents, Seniz also cannot believe what's happening. Agah raises hell witnessing the conflict between Nedim, Cenk and Seniz. Cenk decides to keep his distance from his mother once and for all. Ceren girds herself for Seniz. She thinks Seniz is the only one who is responsible for her baby's death. Knowing that she can't deal with Seniz alone, Ceren needs to find someone who will have her back. Cemre feels for her sister and when she hears. Nedim is miserable after what he has found out. And Cemre no longer has the strength to withstand. Although Cenk tries to stop her, Cemre faces Nedim and lets him know the truth. Ceren realizes that Nedim has watched the footage. Even though Ceren tries to make an explanation to Nedim, Nedim is determined to leave Ceren behind. She is ready to do what it takes to avoid divorce. Agah has witnessed what may happen when his son and nephew are confronted. That's why Agah thinks that it is time for him to step in. The residents in the mansion who worry about Nedim are startled by what they have seen. Seniz wants to scheme against Nedim but she is trapped by it in the end. Cemre is exhausted by all that is happening and she cannot keep going anymore. Regardless of how much Cenk wants to stay married, she is determined to end this marriage. Agah is one step ahead of them as he has watched the footage. It is the last straw for Cemre to see Nedim has also watched the footage and he still keeps his cool. To get back at the people who have hurt her, Ceren's last chance is Nedim. Cenk's confession is the beginning of the events that will turn the mansion upside down. The confession devastates Agah. Cenk wants to punish himself putting a gun on his head as everyone looks at him in terror. Nedim cannot leave his uncle alone as Agah feels terrible about what Cenk has done. As for Cemre, she is determined to make peace between Cenk and Nedim to forget the past and move on. Before Seniz gets over the confession, Ceren faces her with a voice record she gets hold of. Seniz loses control of everything she depends on. Agah is resolute to find out more. Doors that are open to Agah become the beginning of the end for Seniz. Even when Seniz is thrown out of the mansion, Agah's anger is unabated. Damla does not want to believe what is told for her mother and goes after her mother. From this point forward Agah will provide his own justice in the mansion. Cenk finds his father in front of him when he cannot overcome the shock of what happened. Agah's conversation with Cemre will shake the three of them. When Seniz pays for her mistakes, helplessness will bring her to the end. Seniz pushed Nedim's limits. Nedim's first refuge becomes his uncle. On the cliff where Seniz drags Nedim, Agah will do his best for his nephew. However, Agah's doubts are devastating for Nedim. Ceren has held out her hand to Nedim. Although Cemre is doing whatever she can for Nedim, she will find Ceren in front of her. When the court day comes, the person who walks in the last moment is someone that no one expected. Nedim is set free of the unlawful wounding charge against Seniz. As soon as he gets out of the trial, Nedim goes on taking firm steps towards revenge. Cemre finds out Cenk and Nedim are brothers from a DNA test she comes across. Nedim's being hell bent on revenge and declaring war on the whole family drive Cenk out of his mind. Cemre sees the growing hostility between the brothers and she makes a decision. Meanwhile, Seniz is about to contrive another sneaky scheme. Seniz cannot afford to lose her son and on the cocktail night makes Cemre to be silent. Cenk is looking for Cemre as she wanted to speak with him, this situation draws Nedim's attention. Seniz's plan does not proceed as she hopes. While Cenk is tracking down Cemre, Nedim is shocked by the message sent to his phone. On the other hand, while Seher is desperate to get news from her daughter, Civan and Damla takes action. Civan's rushed actions causes an unexpected danger for them. While Seniz is trying to take control of the situation, there is no solution for Cenk. While Cenk and Cemre fight to survive, Cenk confesses the truth to Cemre in his last moments. Nedim's heroic move at the last moment, creates a second chance for both Cenk and Cemre. Agah caught those who kidnapped Cemre. It is only a matter of time before the arrows show Seniz while interrogating the men. On the other hand, Cemre is determined to tell the truth that Cenk and Nedim are brothers. Seniz is getting ready to hit back Cemre with her loved ones when she at least expects. Cenk, on the other hand, is determined not to lose Cemre once again and is in. Cemre starts to look for a job to make a fresh start. She is determined to be alone in this path. She comes across a friend whom she loves so much and this encourages her to follow her dreams. But she learns about a fact that prevents her from sharing the news about her new job with her family. Seeing that Seniz shows Cemre the hotel room footage, Ceren relives her traumas about Seniz. Even if Seniz thinks she has silenced Cemre about the fact that Cenk and Nedim are brothers, the real danger comes from someone she doesn't expect, Ceren. Ceren's move is the beginning. Agah feels desolate after learning about the truth. Seniz is unaware that Agah has listened to the voice record, so she tries to reach him desperately. However, Agah has already burnt his bridges. In the meantime, Ceren watches Seniz's downfall with pleasure, but the baby's presence in the mansion upsets the balances. Nedim is pretty confused after finding out Oya is his sister. Oya is determined to reveal everything not to lose Nedim. But the actual blow Nedim is going to take is hearing that his uncle Agah has learned about the betrayal. Cenk realizes something is. Cenk and Damla are shocked by their mother's fall in front of their eyes. Agah tries to forget the betrayal he took by taking all the responsibility. Damla and Cenk fight against Agah while Seniz is fighting for her life. While Ceren has found the secret that will change Nedim and Cenk's lives forever, this time will eliminate Neriman. Cemre is determined to find the truth behind the words that Damla has said. While Cemre is on the trail, she will encounter Cenk's confession when she never expects. After talking to Özge, Cemre starts questioning her feelings and makes a decision. She explains her decision to her interlocutor, but she faces an obstacle for which she does not know the reason and is rejected. The brotherhood of Cenk and Nedim is tested with a brand new situation. This new situation causes both of them to make unwanted decisions. The decisions they make will also affect the lives of Ceren and Cemre. The lives of Ceren and Seniz end horribly. The Yilmaz family is shaken by a brand new agenda without mourning Ceren. This time the apocalypse will break in the outbuilding. Cemre comes into confusion with the emergence of the secret that her mother has kept for years. Nedim will be the biggest supporter on this road, even if they are still on bad terms. After Cenk loses his parents, he decides to spend the rest of his time with his son. The disease has a large share in this decision. Civan decides to go to the army after all these incidents.
